Former Congress media panellist CR Kesavan announced his resignation from the party in February of this year...

Digital Desk: CR Kesavan, a former Congress leader and the great-grandson of C Rajagopalachari, has joined the BJP party.

"I want to thank you for inducting me into the world's largest political party-BJP," CR Kesavan stated upon joining the party.

"PM Modi's people-centric policies, corruption-free governance, and reform-led inclusive development programme have changed India from a weak economy to the world's fifth largest economy," CR Kesavan stated while addressing the media.


In February of this year, Congress media panellist and first Indian Governor-General C Rajagopalachari's grandson CR Kesavan announced his desire to withdraw from the party's membership, stating that he had not seen any" vestige of the value that had driven his serve for the party for over two decades."

"I can no longer say in good faith that I agree with what the Party currently represents, stands for, or aims to spread. This is why I recently declined a national organisational duty and also declined to participate in the Bharat Jodo Yatra," Kesavan's in his resignation letter added.
