The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced class 10 results today. Due to the pandemic situation in the country this year, results were announced without holding any examination. The government designed policies to evaluate the students, which says 20 marks for each subject were for internal assessment as every year, 80 percent of the marks are calculated based on the students' performance in various tests or exams throughout the year.

Of the total 21,467 students, as many as 99.04% have passed. It is the jump of over eight percentage points from last year when 91.46% of students had passed the exams. CBSE has decided to replace the term 'FAIL' with the term 'Essential Repeat' because of which no 'FAIL' term will be mentioned in the documents issued to the candidates and the result hosted on the website.

Trivandrum remains the undefeated champion, has the highest ever pass percentage with 99.99%.
