Shinde, who is now camped out in Guwahati with the rebel legislators, also tweeted a letter addressed to Uddhav Thackeray and the state's home minister, Dilip Walse Patil, that was signed by 16 MLAs.

Digital Desk: The Central Government provided Y+ security cover of armed Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel to 15 rebel Shiv Sena MLAs, who jumped ship to Eknath Shinde's camp and are currently in Assam's Guwahati, reports said on Sunday.

Ramesh Bornare, Sanjay Shirsat, Latabai Sonawane, Mangesh Kudalkar, Prakas Surve, Yogesh Dada Kadam, Sadanand Saranavnkar, Pratap Sarnaik, Pradeep Jaiswal, Sanjay Rathod, Yamini Jadhav, Dadaji Bhuse, Dilip Lande, Balaji Kalyanar, and Sandipan Bhumare are the rebel MLAs who have received the CRPF security cover.

This development comes a day after Eknath Shinde, in a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil, DGP Rajnish Seth, and others claimed that the security protection given to the rebel MLAs' families had been removed.

Shinde, who is now camped out in Guwahati with the rebel legislators, also tweeted a letter addressed to Uddhav Thackeray and the state's home minister, Dilip Walse Patil, that was signed by 16 MLAs.

Notably, in the letter, the legislators further said that Thackeray and the leaders of the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance will be responsible if any harm is caused to their family members.
