Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a violent assault took place in Lakwa, Charaideo, resulting in one student being severely injured by a cricket stump.
The violent altercation among students broke out after the victim, a student, refused to provide a sticker to paste on a helmet.
So far, the Lakwa police had arrested five students for their alleged involvement in the incident. The incident occurred in the Mandal tea estate of Lakwa.
The injured student, who hails from Dihingia Konwar village in Lakwa, is currently undergoing treatment at Medicity Hospital in Dibrugarh.
The student is fighting for life in the hospital, while videos of the assault have surfaced on social media, posted by those involved.
The brutal attack has concerned the public of the Lakwa region.
