New Delhi: Account holders with Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India (UNI) can continue to use their cheque book until June 30, 2021 as stated by the Punjab National Bank. Few days ago, the government announced the discontinuation of usage of cheques and passbooks of eight merged banks from April 1.

UNI Bank and OBC bank will be merged with Punjab National Bank which means account holders won’t be able to use cheque book, passbooks, and IFSC codes of the two banks after the deadline set by the bank.
