Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will launch the project Sahajeevanam on August 3, 2021. The Social Justice Department’s project will open centres for differently-abled individuals.

This project is an initiative for making a state which is disabled friendly. Sahajeevnam project is included under Chief Minister’s 100-day programme. The Minister for Social Justice, R. Bindu, will manage the inauguration program. 

As per statements, the differently-abled who had been restrained to their places due to COVID-19 and their parents who took guardianship were under tremendous mental pressure. But, usually, it ceased in strikes against the differently-abled. It also brings changes concerning behavioural barriers between them.

The Sahajeevanam project will establish centers in all sections of the State. It is to implement the differently-abled mental relief centres, supervision, and any additional nourishment for them.

These centers would appreciate the support of Health, Education, Local Self-government assistance, including the Women and Child Development Department.

A particular class, BUDS class, and Samagra Shiksha, Kerala’s special educators, would be chosen as volunteers. The volunteers will help for executing the plan in every panchayat. Approximately 3,000 volunteers have been trained for this plan.
