Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh launched a livelihood scheme to support COvid-affected people in the State.

Under the livelihood scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance for those critically affected by the pandemic.

While addressing the public, the Chief Minister stated that the State Government had been operating sincerely to uplift the State's underprivileged and more vulnerable sections. 

Manipur CM Biren further said that the Chief Minister's COVID-19 Affected Livelihood Support Scheme was launched, acknowledging financial disorders, which had critically hit the livelihood of a substantial portion of the people leading to a failure to manage a basic standard of existence. 

Suggesting to avail the plan, he requested the people to be faithful and refrain from doing any wrong certificate to avail while applying for any schemes or scholarships to reach the targeted and suitable recipients.

During the event, financial support under the Chief Minister's COVID-19 Affected Livelihood Support Scheme was assigned to some chosen recipients such as road merchants, van operators, public transport operators, and artists from various regions.
