Digital Desk: Congress' projected candidate Mira Borthakur, President of Assam Pradesh Mahila Congress, arrived at Rangsai in Goalpara, part of the Guwahati Lok Sabha constituency. She reached the Rabha National Dodan Mela ground and took blessings at the Dodan temple. Mira Borthakur campaigned by arriving in The Rabha-dominated area of Rangsai.

The candidate is trying to win the people's hearts to grab the Seat in Delhi. Meera Borthakur went to various newly inducted places in the Guwahati Lok Sabha constituency and exchanged views with the public.

Responding to a question from reporters on the chief minister's statement that "all Congressmen except one will join the BJP", she said people do not want a chief minister who makes fluid statements. She made a controversial statement by alleging the government of “spending taxpayers' money on buying MLAs” and said that “schools are closed and the state is being run on liquor tax.”

She also alleged the ruling BJP that senior leaders are leaving the BJP out of frustration and BJP is becoming Congress’s BJP after inducting so many Congress leaders into the party. “What will the chief minister do to them?” she asked the CM through the media.

On the other hand, in response to a question regarding the creation of government scheme beneficiaries, she said "The beneficiary has taken the money of Orunodoi scheme as there is nothing in the kitchen. But Meera Borthakur also claimed that the beneficiaries will vote for the Congress.
