Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, Congress MP Rakibul Hussain was attacked by a group of miscreants at Natun Bazar in Rupahihat while on his way to a Congress workers' meeting in Gunabari on Thursday. The attackers, who had their faces covered with black cloth, first waved black flags at the MP before launching their attack.

Hussain’s bodyguard was also assaulted during the chaos, intensifying the situation. In response, the MP’s security personnel fired warning shots into the air to disperse the attackers and ensure his safety. Their swift intervention prevented any major harm and successfully escorted Hussain away from the danger zone.

The incident has triggered unrest in the region, putting local authorities on high alert. Security forces are closely monitoring the situation to prevent any further escalation.
