The list includes a diverse array of contenders who will be vying for seats in the state's legislative assembly. This announcement comes at a crucial juncture when the political temperature in Mizoram is rising, with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi actively campaigning in the state.

One of the most prominent decisions made by the Congress party was the nomination of Lalsanglura Ralte, who will be contesting from the Aizawl East-I constituency. The Aizawl East-I constituency is currently held by the Mizo National Front (MNF) president and Chief Minister of Mizoram, Zoramthanga. This head-to-head battle is expected to be one of the most closely watched contests in the upcoming elections.

Lalsawta, the Chief of the Mizoram Congress Committee, has been fielded from the Aizawl West-III (ST) constituency. Lalnunmawia Chuaungo has received the party's ticket to represent the Aizawl North-I (ST) constituency. The Hachhek (ST) constituency will see Lalrindika Ralte representing the Congress party. Meanwhile, Lalhmingthanga Sailo will be the face of the party in the Dampa (ST) constituency, and Lalrinmawia will contest from the Aizawl North-II constituency.

The Congress party's strategic selection of candidates reflects its commitment to fielding a strong and diverse lineup to challenge the incumbent MNF government. These decisions are seen as crucial in the party's efforts to regain political ground in Mizoram.

The timing of this announcement is noteworthy as it coincides with the visit of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to Mizoram. During his two-day visit, Rahul Gandhi is actively campaigning for Congress candidates and rallying support for the party ahead of the elections.

The Mizoram Assembly elections, scheduled to be held in the coming months, have been a focal point of political discussions in the state. The announcement of these 39 candidates by the Congress party indicates that the election battle is heating up, and Mizoram's political landscape is set for a keen contest between various parties.

As the election campaign gathers momentum, the people of Mizoram are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to exercise their democratic rights and have their voices heard through the ballot. The results of the Mizoram Assembly elections will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the future governance of the state.
