Digital Desk: Assam Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi has declared that the Congress is ready to win the Rajasthan polls.
Gogoi predicted that the BJP would suffer in tomorrow's results and that the Congress would form a government in Rajasthan. He continued by saying that his time spent in Rajasthan had made him aware of the reality on the ground.
"I think Rajasthan will host the formation of our government, the Congress. I've been to Rajasthan before, so I am familiar with the situation there. The BJP will have to retract its statements tomorrow," Gogoi stated.
With 32% of the vote, senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has emerged as the front-runner for chief minister despite facing anti-incumbency sentiment.
Voting for 199 of the 200 seats in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly was held on November 25, with a reported voter turnout of 75.45%.
On December 3, the official results of these state elections will be declared.
