Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police escorted actresses Nikki Tamboli and Sofia Singh to Tihar's jail to "recreate" their encounters with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Digital Desk: Officials stated on Monday that a Delhi Police team took two actresses inside Tihar jail to "recreate" their alleged meeting with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar as part of an investigation into a 200-crore extortion case.

According to a senior police officer, the Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing took actresses Nikki Tamboli and Sofia Singh to Tihar's central jail number one on Saturday to "recreate" their encounters with the "conman" as part of the ongoing investigation.

According to the authorities, ever since Chandrashekar was imprisoned, the prison had become a centre of criminal activities that he carried out with the assistance of jail personnel.

Chandrashekhar is currently imprisoned on charges of defrauding numerous people, including high-profile persons such as former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh's wife Aditi Singh.

According to sources, the EOW has questioned Bollywood celebrities Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi and former TV presenter Pinky Irani and stylist Leepakshi Ellawadi.

Many people, including celebrities, arrived in fancy cars during his time in Tihar and obtained access into the jail by claiming to be there to meet Chandrashekar, according to the officer.

According to authorities, the complete reconstruction of the meeting was also videotaped.

"Many people came to see Chandrashekhar while he was imprisoned. We are, however, only summoning people who are pertinent to our investigation. "Chandrasekar is currently imprisoned in Mandoli Prison," an official added.

"We are conducting a thorough investigation in the matter, which is why we have recreated the scene of the actresses meeting Chandrashekhar," stated Special Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.

"This has given us a clear picture of how the fraud was carried out. This will aid us in our prosecution." According to the investigation, Chandrashekar had a proper office within the prison, complete with a television, sofa, carpet, and other facilities. Another officer said that it appeared to be his office rather than a jail.

"The jail's security was jeopardised. When visitors stated they were going to meet Sukesh, luxury cars were driven into the prison. There were no security checks for people coming to meet Chandrashekar. He had so much money that he lavished it on jail authorities. No one could stop him since he had bribed jail officials "He continued.

According to the authorities, Chandrashekhar usually introduced himself as a business magnate from the south, a movie producer, or the owner of a television channel, and enticed actors by giving them roles in "his upcoming movies."

The investigation into the matter is still ongoing, and no clean chit has been awarded to any of the people involved, they claimed.

"According to the investigation, Chandrashekhar also approached other performers using the same method. Pinki Irani, who the EOW team has already questioned, presented the two actors to the alleged conman "added the officer.
