Guwahati: The Assam Government has made covid tests mandatory at airports and railway stations for those arriving from other Northeast Indian states amid the sharp rise in covid cases in the region.

The government has mandated Covid-19 (RAT/RT-PCR) for passengers arriving from other NE states.

“All the passengers from other northeastern states arriving in Assam shall also be tested for Covid in all airports and railway stations by Rapid Antigen tests and RT-PCR tests henceforth, until further orders,” stated the Principal Secretary to the Assam government’s health and family welfare department in a release.
