Digital Desk: The Arunachal Pradesh police arrested two persons on Thursday in connection with the murder of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan in Bordumsa, near the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border, on Wednesday night.


Chao Neuta Min of Changlai village in Changlang district and Chao Arvi Khen of Jenglai village were detained in a joint operation by Namsai and Chalang police.


The Bordumsa police team, along with the inmates, is now on its way to Namsai, according to sources.


Previously, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was allegedly stabbed to death and another was injured in an attack by two bike-riding miscreants.


Sunil Kumar Pandey, the deceased jawan, has been identified. Both soldiers were assigned to the 106th Battalion in Arunachal Pradesh.


According to sources, two jawans arrived in civil clothes at a market area late Wednesday evening and were attacked by two bike-riding miscreants.


Furthermore, the injured jawan was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.


Further details are awaited as the reason for the attack has yet to be determined.
