Three people were found to be engaged in cyber fraud activities
Digital Desk: Based on reliable intelligence, a search operation was conducted at a hotel located in the Supermarket area of Guwahati. During the operation, it was established that three 3 people were involved in cyber fraud activities. A suo motu case has been entered into at Dispur Police Station with a case number 619/2025 under Section- 319(2)/318(4)/316(2)/61(2) of the BNS-2023.
The police seized four mobile handsets that were being used by the fraudsters. These were the people who were arrested:-
1. S/o Shibu Gurudas, Gautam Shibu Leena, R/o Santigiri, A/32 Nila Nagar, PS-Kazhakuttom, District Trivandrum, Kerala.
2. Muhammad Shemeer age 37 S/o Abbu Bakkar R/o Oruvangara Velliparamba Kuttikkatoor PS-Kozhikode Medical College District Kozhikode Kerala.
3. Amon Andresh Shinde s/o Andresh Shinde r/o at post Nivdunge, ps-Pathardi, district Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.
Further investigation is currently underway.
