Digital Desk: While the nation continues to praise Kiara Advani for her outstanding performance in ‘Shershaah,’ the actress dedicated her award for Best Actress Critic’s Choice at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022 to Dimple Cheema, whom she represented on screen in her film Shershaah.
Kiara Advani won the hearts of the audiences not only in India but worldwide for her outstanding performance as Captain Vikram Batra’s love interest in the war biographical film. Kiara brought to screen the heart-touching story of Dimple Cheema, symbolizing the bravery, fortitude, and sacrifice of the unsung heroes who are the pillars of support in the life of armed officers.
After she received the award, Kiara said, “This film (Shershaah) holds a special place in the hearts of not only the cast and crew, but also among the entire nation. The audience and critics have overwhelmingly praised Captain Batra’s biopic, and I am overwhelmed with appreciation.”
Further, expressing her gratitude for the honour she said, “I want to dedicate this award to Dimple, the character I played in the film. This is dedicated to Dimple and all the unsung heroes who have been the driving force behind the armed services, for their dedication, unwavering love, and support for the country.”
Regarding the work front, Kiara Advani’s upcoming projects include Dharma Productions’ ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ and Govinda Naam Mera,’ along with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, S Shankar’s RC-15 with Ram Charan and a few announced projects.
