According to District Town Planner (DTP) Amit Madholia, these were built without permission in the Aravalli range.

Digital Desk: According to a senior official with the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), authorities on Tuesday sealed three illegally built farmhouses, including one owned by Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi, near Damdama lake in Sohna.

These were illegal farmhouses located near the lake's reservoir. The three farms have all been sealed. According to District Town Planner (DTP) Amit Madholia, these were built without permission in the Aravalli range.

In accordance with the NGT orders in the Sonya Gosh v. State of Haryana matter, the demolition-cum-sealing drive was conducted with the assistance of police against three farmhouses.

In the presence of on-call magistrate Lachhiram, Naib Tehsildar, Sohna, a team led by DTP Madholia and composed of ATP Sumeet Malik, Dinesh Singh, Rohan, and Shubham conducted the sealing drive.

There, a police squad led by Sadar Sohna Station House Officer was dispatched (SHO).A senior officer of the department confirmed on condition of anonymity that one of the three farmhouses belonged to singer Daler Mehndi. His farmhouse was built on about 1.5 acre land, he added.
