Digital Desk: There were 44 confirmed positive dengue cases, 270 suspected dengue cases, and 24 confirmed chikungunya cases in the city from January to February 25. Even though the monsoon is the ideal time to breed mosquitoes, there have been cases reported during the summer as well. Among the 44 positive cases reported, seven were reported among those younger than 14 years of age. There could be various reasons for these cases now, such as people living near water bodies or water being stored because it's summer. Dengue cases that are confirmed through the ELISA test are reported as confirmed during the past two months, between January and February 25. There were 26 cases in January and 28 cases in February during this period.
