"Tu hai kya cheez… tu bahar mil, dekhte hain kaise zinda ghar jaati hai"

Digital Court: The Delhi courtroom building, experienced wild turmoil when a convicted person, together with his legal representation, made threatening moves against Judicial Magistrate (NI Act) Shivangi Mangla following her verdict related to cheque bounce case. Professional authorities, including legal, judicial officials, have expressed great concern about the event described in the court’s official order.

The accused, after being found guilty under section 138  of the Negotiable Instruments Act, reportedly attempted to use and throw an object toward the judge. A news report from Bar & Bench documented the hostile situation that occurred when the sentenced man expressed his fury by delivering a terrifying warning to the judge:-
"Tu hai kya cheez… tu bahar mil, dekhte hain kaise zinda ghar jaati hai" — implying physical harm outside the courtroom.

Your presence outside the court area will show us how you survive the journey home alive — the threatening statement hints at violent physical consequences.

Secondly, the convict instructed his defense lawyer to finish the job using any possible method, generating serious doubts about judicial staff safety.

After the sentencing, the court had asked the accused to furnish a bail bond under section  437A of the CrPC. The convict, along with his counsel Advocate Atul Kumar, tried to force Judge Mangla into reversing the conviction through intimidation tactics, although he had not shown compliance.

The judge reported facing mental and physical harassment and pressure to resign. Terming the act a grave interference with the administration of justice, she announced plans to initiate appropriate proceedings before the National Commission for Women.

Advocate Atul Kumar received a show cause notice, which demands his justification for why court contempt charges should not commence against him. The hearing court requires his written reply before the upcoming court session.
