Digital Desk: A senior official stated that the Union government had increased the Budget allocation for Delhi police. The allocation rate increased from ₹8,654.26 cr to ₹10,355.29 cr this year.  After so many years, this rate is the highest budget allocation for the Delhi police. According to data, Delhi Police was allocated 6,946.29 crores in 2018-19, ₹7,496.83 crores in 2019-20, ₹8,156.56 crores in 2020-21, and ₹8,654.26 crores in 2021-22. Delhi Police, in a statement, stated that out of the cumulative allocation of ₹10,355.29 crores, ₹9,808.39 crores would go towards “establishment-related expense.”  A significant fragment under this class is utilized for yielding the compensation of the 80,000+ police personnel apart from additional temporary post workers such as lawful consultants and data entry operators.  Also Read: Pratik Sehajpal: Salman Khan surprises Bigg Boss 15 runners-up with a special gift The procurement of office-related paper, equipment, and other things is done utilizing the funds allocated for establishment-related expenses, a senior Delhi Police officer described.
