Winter break for primary pupils in municipal schools was earlier extended from January 6 to January 12 because of the coldwave.

Digital Desk: According to an official order, schools in Delhi have been directed to reopen on Tuesday at regular times in response to the improvement in the weather in the nation's capital.

In response to a notification last month from the Directorate of Education (DoE) of the Delhi government, schools in Delhi began offering classes at nine in the morning because of the cold weather.

Additionally, schools were instructed by the DoE not to hold classes beyond 5 pm.

In an order issued on Monday, the DoE said, "In view of the improved weather conditions in Delhi, all government, government-aided and recognised private schools of Delhi shall resume their full normal timings with effect from Tuesday." The directive instructed school administrators to promptly notify staff, parents, and students about any changes in schedules via appropriate channels of contact.

Winter break for primary pupils in municipal schools was earlier extended from January 6 to January 12 because of the coldwave.

The minimum temperature in Delhi on Monday was 11.9 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees higher than the season's average. The highest recorded temperature was 20.3 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees more than average.

Tuesday is anticipated to have heavy fog, with maximum and minimum temperatures predicted to be 22 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees, respectively, according to the weather office.
