Digital Desk: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that the national capital would soon be eased of curbs for the Covid-19. Moreover, Kejriwal has informed that the national capital on Monday recorded a 10% positivity rate which is much lower than earlier days. Additionally, Arvind Kejriwal stated that some vendors had met him last week. They have asked that weekend curfew - from 10 pm on Fridays to 5 am on Mondays - and the odd-even rule for opening shops be lifted. "When Covid cases increase, we are compelled to set regulations, and individuals face problems. So we only get in restrictions that are required," Mr Kejriwal said. The national capital chief minister further said that he had already sent proposals to the Lieutenant Governor regarding lifting restrictions. However, Lieutenant Governor has not accepted it. Therefore, Kejriwal said, "We will together lift the restrictions soon," he added. Delhi has administered 100% first doses of vaccination to all its citizens on a good note. Moreover, 82% of the individuals have taken the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccination. The proposal was delivered to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal for his permission but was denied. In a reply, the office of the Lieutenant Governor had stated that a decision on lifting the weekend curfew would be accepted once the pandemic condition improves further. Furthermore, he rejected the proposal to remove the odd-even restriction of outlet stores in markets. The national capital has seen a drop in the daily positivity rate. Five thousand seven hundred sixty fresh infections were registered, 37 % lower than Sunday (9,197). The positivity rate dropped to 11.79 % from 13.3 % in the same course.
