Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that the quota of medical oxygen that was allotted to Delhi has been reduced and has been given to the other states. Amid a rising number of COVID-19 cases that the National Capital is facing on a daily basis, Delhi is facing an ‘acute shortage of oxygen.’

Kejriwal tweeted, “In view of sharply increasing cases, Delhi needs much more than normal supply. Rather than increasing supply, our normal supply has been sharply reduced and Delhi's quota has been diverted to other states. OXYGEN HAS BECOME AN EMERGENCY IN DEL.”
