Due to prevailing fog conditions today, 30th December 2025, visibility levels across Northern India have reduced at select airports
Digital Desk: Today, 30th December, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) issued an advisory warning of possible flight delays at select airports across Northern India due to prevailing fog conditions that have significantly reduced visibility.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter , the AAI urged passengers to remain in close contact with their respective airlines through official communication channels for the latest flight updates. Travellers were also advised to plan their journeys carefully by allowing additional time for airport arrival and check-in procedures.
“Due to prevailing fog conditions today, 30th December 2025, visibility levels across Northern India have reduced at select airports. This may impact flight operations, including possible delays,” the AAI said, adding that passenger safety and smooth operations remain a top priority.
The statutory body further announced that passenger facilitation measures have been activated at affected airports. Assistance teams have been deployed on the ground to help travellers navigate disruptions and ensure support during adverse weather conditions.
The AAI also shared customer support numbers of major airlines, including IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, Air India Express, Akasa Air, Alliance Air, IndiaOne Air, Star Air, and Fly91, to help passengers access timely assistance.

The advisory follows significant disruptions at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Monday, where dense fog led to multiple flight delays and cancellations. Several airlines, including IndiGo and Air India, issued travel advisories in response to the deteriorating weather conditions.
In its statement, IndiGo said it is closely monitoring the situation and making necessary operational adjustments to ensure safety and compliance with visibility requirements. The airline noted that fluctuating visibility in IGI Airport in Delhi and Hindon airport in Uttar Pradesh has affected flight schedules and that operations may remain slower than usual until conditions improve.
Passengers have been advised to regularly check their flight status online and use rebooking or refund options if their journeys are impacted. Airlines also assured travellers that operations would gradually stabilise once weather conditions improve.
