Digital Desk: In a remarkable gesture of devotion, Mukesh Patel, a diamond trader from Gujarat's Surat, has donated a splendid 'mukut' (crown) to grace the idol of Lord Ram at the newly-constructed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The crown, valued at an impressive Rs 11 crore, was meticulously crafted, weighing 6 kilograms, and adorned with a dazzling array of gold, diamonds, and precious gemstones.

Accompanied by his family, Mukesh Patel personally visited Ayodhya to present this magnificent crown to the temple trust officials. The presentation took place during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in the presence of the chief priest of the Ram Mandir and the trustees of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust.

The National Treasurer of the Vishva Hindu Parishad, Dinesh Bhai Naviya, revealed that Mukesh Patel's generosity extended beyond the crown, as he also contributed additional ornaments for Lord Ram's idol. Patel's commitment to this donation involved meticulous research, with two employees from his Green Lab Diamond Company measuring the statue of Lord Ram in Ayodhya before commencing the crafting of the crown.

The crown itself is a masterpiece, comprising 4 kilograms of gold, complemented by diamonds, rubies, pearls, and sapphires of various sizes. This symbolic offering adds a touch of opulence to the newly-consecrated Ram Lalla idol, which was chiselled by the skilled hands of Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj.

The Pran Pratishtha ceremony, marking the idol's consecration, unfolded in Ayodhya amid grand celebrations witnessed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and millions across the country via television. Mukesh Patel's noble contribution not only showcases his reverence for Lord Ram but also exemplifies the spirit of communal harmony and devotion that defines the monumental journey of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
