Digital Desk: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Assam CM, Himanta Biswa Sarma in Uttarakhand said on Friday that he didn't seek proof from the Congress that Rahul Gandhi was the son of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Himanta Biswa Sarma was quoted saying this while targeting the Congress for continuous doubts and picking points against India’s surgical strikes and vaccination procedures against the Coronavirus disease. Former Congress leader and present Assam CM, Himanta Biswa Sarma is in the hilly state, Uttarakhand to campaign for the BJP for the most-awaited Uttarakhand Assembly elections. Assam CM, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Congress demanded proof of surgical strikes and vaccine authenticity. Is Rahul Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi's son? Have we ever asked for proof from him of this? The Assam CM further hit out at Gandhi over his “union of states” remark saying the Congress is indulging in the politics of polarisation.
