Digital Desk: Noonmati Police has successfully recovered stolen gold ornaments and arrested two individuals following a theft at the residence of Murad Zaman.


The incident involved Rina Begum, a domestic worker recently placed by the NGO "Jibika Niyog Seva."


According to reports, Rina Begum stole a pair of earrings, three gold rings, and a gold chain on the very day she began her employment eight days ago.


Following a complaint filed at Noonmati Police Station, an investigation was launched, leading to Rina's confession.


She admitted to selling the stolen items to Deepjyoti Das, a resident of Bapujinagar, Noonmati.


Acting on this information, police conducted a raid in Sector 2, Noonmati at around 8:30 PM last night.


During the operation, police recovered Rs 1,91,500 in cash and stolen gold ornaments from Deepjyoti's possession.


A case (No. 82/2026) has been registered at Noonmati Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
