Digital Desk: Marking historic milestone in Assam's political landscape, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, one of India's most influential and dynamic leaders, has been sworn in as Chief Minister for a second consecutive term.


Backed by the overwhelming mandate and unwavering trust of people, Dr. Sarma resumes his leadership as the BJP-led alliance officially embarks on its third term of governance in the state.


The grand swearing-in ceremony was a high-profile event, graced by the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.


The occasion also saw attendance from several Union Ministers, as well as Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from across the country, underscoring the national significance of the transition.


Alongside Chief Minister Dr. Sarma, several senior MLAs were inducted into the new cabinet.


The new ministers who took oath of office include:

1.    Ajanta Neog (MLA from Golaghat)

2.    Atul Bora (MLA from Bokakhat)

3.    Charan Boro (MLA from Mazbat)

4.    Rameswar Teli (MLA from Duliajan)


Under the leadership of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the new government assumed office today, reaffirming its commitment to the holistic development of the state and the welfare of its citizens.
