Digital Desk: Assam Council of Ministers under Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is set for its first major expansion today.
In a ceremony scheduled for 12:45 PM at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra International Auditorium in Khanapara, 12 newly appointed Cabinet Ministers will officially take their oaths of office.
Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya will administer the oath to the following ministers: Ashwini Ray Sarkar, Ashok Singhal, Biswajit Daimary, Bimal Bora, Dr. Ranoj Pegu, Pijush Hazarika, Jayanta Malla Baruah, Kaushik Rai, Krishnendu Paul, Nilima Devi, Sushanta Borgohain, and Keshab Mahanta.
This follows the earlier swearing-in of the Chief Minister and four Cabinet Ministers on May 12.
Today's event will be attended by a host of distinguished personalities.
