Digital Desk: Dhubri police encroached on a drug mafia Bellal Sheikh in connection will the illegal trade of drugs in the region. After intruding on him, Dhubri police arrested Sheikh at night.
Later, police tried to find additional links associated with illegal drug trading from Bellal Sheikh. As a result, Dhubri BN College police started a drive to find hidden drugs and other associated drugs trading.
As per the latest information, the drug mafia Bellal Sheikh tried to attack the police while raiding Dhubri Gauripur link road. Police authorities tried to stop him. However, while Bellal tried to escape, police opened fire on him.

The drug mafia shot dead by police was admitted to Dhubri Civil hospital. Police have informed that four cases were registered against the mafia in Dhubri police station.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has asked police personnel to be extra aware regarding any form of illegal means continuing in the state. Accordingly, Assam police constantly push painstakingly to keep hawk watches upon unlawful activities.
