The incident occurred at midnight in the A1 coach of the Akal Takht Express on its way from Amritsar to Kolkata...

Digital Desk: Amid the back-to-back urination incidents on flights, another pee-gate incident happened on a train, where a drunk Travel Ticket Examiner (TTE) reportedly urinated on a woman's head on the Amritsar-Kolkata Akal Takht Express. The incident happened on Sunday, a Government Railway Police (GRP) official said.

The woman was travelling with her husband, Rajesh Kumar, both hailing from Amritsar. The incident occurred at midnight in the A1 coach of the Akal Takht Express on its way from Amritsar to Kolkata. Passengers gathered and grabbed hold of the drunk TTE after hearing the noise. He was identified as Munna Kumar, a resident of Bihar.

The TTE was handed over to the GRP after the train reached Charbagh Railway Station in Lucknow on Monday. TTE has been sent to judicial custody.

The incident comes just a week after American Airlines barred an Indian citizen from flying after he reportedly urinated on a co-passenger on a New York-New Delhi flight in an inebriated state on March 4. The accused, 21-year-old Arya Vohra, is a student in the United States.

A similar incident reportedly happened on a public bus run by the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) when a 32-year-old man allegedly peed on a female co-passenger in a non-AC sleeper bus close to Hubballi. The bus was going from Vijayapura to Mangaluru and had the registration KA-19 F-3554.

In November of last year, a male business class passenger on an Air India flight from New York to New Delhi reportedly relieved himself on a female co-passenger.
