District Transport Officer and Secretary, RTA, Kamrup (M) directed all city bus owners to acquire e-ticketing machines in all city buses to provide e-tickets to travelling passengers.

Digital Desk: The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Kamrup (M) approved the fare increase for city buses on Friday, as well as the use of e-ticketing machines to collect the fare from travelling passengers, which has been made compulsory.

In a notification, the District Transport Officer and Secretary, RTA, Kamrup (M) directed all city bus owners to acquire e-ticketing machines in all city buses to provide e-tickets to travelling passengers.

All city bus owners and associations have also been informed that beginning November 1, 2022, city buses will not be permitted to operate without an e-ticketing machine for issuing e-tickets and collecting fares from travelling passengers.
