As per sources, the Maharashtra minister was summoned to appear before the ED in a case filed against underworld don and terror financier Dawood Ibrahim, his brother Anees, Iqbal, associate Chota Shakeel, and others. Reportedly, last week the ED conducted a raid in different places of Mumbai for elements linked to the underworld and Dawood Ibrahim. Officials from the ED are also investigating Malik's and his associates' other business operations. According to sources, the agency has major evidence against Malik and could take action against him. The ED claims to have uncovered a money trail linking Nawab Malik to underworld people, sources quoted. Moreover, it also claims to have information on Nawab Malik's benami investments in a real estate project.
