swift action by Nongpoh Police Personnel has led to the apprehension of one individual allegedly linked to the crime


Digital Desk: In the wake of the tragic murder case that unfolded in Erpakon Village, Ri Bhoi District in Meghalaya leaving one individual dead, authorities have made a breakthrough with the arrest of a suspect.


The incident, which occurred on Sunday evening, saw the loss of life of Mr. Kyrmen Lyngdoh Nonglait, reportedly at the hands of unknown assailants. However, swift action by Nongpoh Police Personnel has led to the apprehension of one individual allegedly linked to the crime.


Superintendent of Police for Ri Bhoi District, Jagpal Singh Dhanoa, revealed that following the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) by the deceased's family, authorities launched a prompt investigation which resulted in the arrest. The suspect has been identified as Raju Rajbhar, a resident of Sonapur, Kamrup Assam, currently employed at a local dhaba in Erpakon Village.


Details emerging from the investigation shed light on the tragic turn of events. According to police reports, the fatal altercation occurred in the midst of a drunken brawl between Kyrmen and Raju. The confrontation escalated, resulting in Raju striking Kyrmen with a plank, causing severe injuries. Raju subsequently fled the scene.


Despite efforts to save him, Kyrmen succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at Nongpoh Civil Hospital.


The arrest of Raju Rajbhar marks a significant development in the case, offering hope for justice to be served amid this tragedy that has gripped the community of Erpakon Village.
