Digital Desk: In the intervening nights of Thursday and Friday, Biswanath police in a major development arrested a group of five, including a lady who was involved in making fake currency notes. The five suspects have been arrested, and their fake currency note-making machine was also seized.
The police working on a tip-off about a man, raided a night bus that was travelling from Lakhimpur to Guwahati with a fake currency note-making machine and immediately detained the person.

As per the reports, the arrestees were identified as Fulzar Hussain, Babul Hussain, Ajit Gogoi, Ajay Vishwakarma, and Minara Begum. Babul Hussain is the mastermind behind this racket, according to the officials.
It should be noted that a number of journalists from a news portal in Assam have also been detained alongside the other suspects. People are concerned about the emergence of certain media outlets in the state that engage in illegal activities while using their press cards as a shield.
