Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment have bagged a multi-year deal with OTT giant Netflix.

Excel Entertainment has given us many memorable movies such as Dil Chahta Hai, Don series, Rock On, and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
The deal will commence with two shows, tentatively titled Queen of the Hill and Dabba Cartel.

Queen of the Hill chronicles the relationship between two ambitious women. It is set against the backdrop of Mumbai during the 1960s.

On the other hand, Dabba Cartel follows the story of five housewives, who run a high-stakes secret cartel.
Ritesh and Farhan said that they are very excited about the collaboration and said, “Our partnership with Netflix marks a new global chapter for Excel Entertainment after 20 years in storytelling. We’re excited with the opportunity to create a variety of extraordinary stories to entertain people around the world".

Apart from this, Farhan Akhtar will return as a director with “JEE LE ZARAA” which stars Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, and Priyanka Chopra is scheduled to release in 2023.
