Lucknow: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has been arrested by the police and a case registered against her for attempting to go to Lakhimpur Kheri, where prohibitory orders are in force, on Monday.
Priyanka Gandhi was placed under house arrest in Lucknow, but managed to evade it and left along with several Congress leaders for Lakhimpur Kheri district, where eight people were killed following clashes between protesting farmers and the convoy of Union Minister Ajay Mishra’s son.
