New Delhi: National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah stated that there is no other way except to hold talks with Pakistan to end terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir.
Abdullah also took exception to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's statement that the practice of offering 'namaz' in the open will not be tolerated. He also asked Khattar to provide areas to Muslims for daily prayers as Constitution ensures religious liberty.
The former CM Farooq Abdullah also responded to a query on killing two policemen by terrorists in Bandipora, Kashmir. He stated, "You think we are happy that they are killing people? It is a sad story. But, the government is saying that everything is going great in Jammu & Kashmir. Is it going well?"

As per sources, the two police personnel were killed in a terrorist attack on Friday. Terrorists fired on the team of police at Gulshan Chowk in the evening.
Farooq Abdullah was asked if he still wanted to have talks with Pakistan. He replied, "You have to talk. There is no way (to stop terrorism)."
MP Farooq Abdullah from Srinagar stated, "You can talk to China. What do you say about it? China is coming and taking over our territory. They are building their homes in that area. The government should permit talk in Parliament to comprehend what the Chinese are doing."
When a newsperson questioned whether, by insisting on discussions with Pakistan, he was offering a 'clean chit' to Pakistani terrorists who are killing individuals, Abdullah angrily stated, "You are not a journalist. Your perspective is communal."
