Mumbai: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut once again catches headlines for making derogatory remarks. Mumbai police registered an FIR against the actress for allegedly using derogatory language against the Sikh community in a post.

As per sources, the complaint claimed that Kangana had represented the farmers' protest as a "Khalistani" movement. Also, she has called the Sikh community "Khalistani terrorists."

Suburban Khar police station has registered the FIR. The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) submitted a complaint against the actress.

She has been booked under section 295A (deliberate and malicious acts meant to outrage religious sentiments of any class by insulting its religion or religious views) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Amarjeet Singh Sandhu made the complaint against the actress. He is a Mumbai-based businessman who was also a part of a DSGMC committee that submitted the complaint on Monday.

In a statement, businessman Sandhu attacked the actress for delivering derogatory comments against his community on Instagram.

"We have sent a legal notice to Kangana's team for her derogatory tweet calling the old mother of a farmer as a lady free for ₹ 100. Her tweets further represent farmers' protests as anti-national. We ask an unconditional apology from her for her callous comments on farmers protest," DSGMC chief Manjinder Singh Sirsa had tweeted.
