France on Monday became one of the many countries to announce its support to India to help it fight the deadly second Covid-19 wave. The French administration assured the delivery of many COVID related supplies and equipment to India.

France has announced to provide eight high-capacity oxygen generators, five containers of liquid medical oxygen with each capable of supplying oxygen to up to 10,000 patients per day, and 28 ventilators to India.

France said that each oxygen generator can make a hospital autonomous in oxygen supply for approximately 10 years and uninterruptedly supply a 250-bed hospital for a year.

The French government concluded that it has sent in response to the needs expressed by India’s authorities, this equipment is intended to not only address the emergency but also significantly and lastingly boost Indian hospitals’ capabilities to treat the sick and fight the pandemic.
