New Delhi: The Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have once again hiked the price of petrol and diesel for the sixth consecutive day on Monday.


Petrol price increases by Rs 0.30 to Rs 104.14 per litre in the national capital and diesel by Rs 0.35 to Rs 92.82-a-litre. In Mumbai, petrol prices raised by Rs 0.29 to Rs 110.12, the highest across all the four metropolitan cities and diesel reached 100.66 after a hike of Rs 0.37 per litre.


Moreover, the prices of petrol and diesel have crossed Rs. 100 per litre mark in many states, including Assam, amid the Durga puja festival.

In 26 states of the country, the price of petrol crossed 100, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Sikkim, Punjab, Manipur, Kerala, Tripura and Uttarakhand.


Diesel prices also crossed 100 in many states, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Telangana, Bihar, Gujrat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
