Mandsaur: As an initiative to boost vaccination in Madhya Pradesh, Mandsaur city now offers a 10% discount for fully vaccinated customers in liquor shops.
"Three liquor shops in Mandsaur city will provide a discount of 10% to fully-vaccinated buyers on the production of vaccination certificate," as per the District Excise Officer order issued on Tuesday.
MP government will arrange a mega drive today to reach more population under its coronavirus vaccination schedule. A 10% discount will be provided on buying country liquor at three shops. The places include Sitamau Fatak, Bhuniakhedi and Old Bus Stand, Mandsaur's district excise officer Anil Sachan stated.

Sachan said that people who will get their second dose in this drive will get the offer today. The official further said the decision was exercised to encourage people to get their second dose in the vaccination drive.
If the trial proves thriving, other districts of the region will further apply it. But, this new move drew criticism from an MLA of the ruling BJP, who stated it would encourage individuals to consume more alcohol.
MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had expressed concern over individuals not turning up to get the second dose. The state government further has fixed a deadline of December-end to complete the vaccination of all eligible people.
