A gang posing as CBI Officials tricked the owner of a distillery of Rs 2 Lakh in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The police have taken six people from the gang into custody.

According to a report, on August 6 at around 8 am, six men came to the office of Jack Pin Breweries Limited in Naugaon Town in Chhatarpur. Claiming to be CBI officials, they said they have come to probe an old case that took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh last year.

Two of the accused were wearing Uniforms and also carried pistols to look like real CBI Officials. They called out the owner and also told the security guards to line up.

Nikhil Bansal, the owner said to the police that he runs a  distillery that is registered and does not supply to Aligarh or anywhere in UP.

One of the accused claiming to be Additional SP took out the pistol and planted in the chest of his plant manager Raj Mittal and started searching office drawers and took out Rs 2 Lakh kept there.

Bansal filed a police case against the unknown under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 395, 419, 420, and 170.

Soon after the incident, the police managed the catch six accused named Dharmendra Valmiki of Bulandshahar, Devendra Julaha Delhi, Avinash Maurya Delhi, Siddhpal Bhadauria of Bhopal and Devendra Singh Jhansi and 1 other.
