Guwahati: In view of the surge in Covid-19 cases in the State Gauhati University declared that all pending undergraduate and postgraduate exams will be conducted in “Open Book System” in the online mode from June.

The decision was made after an urgent online meeting under the chairmanship of GU Vice Chancelor, Prof. Pratap Jyoti Handique.

According to official record, the postgraduate examinations will be held from June 1 to 15. The undergraduate examinations will start from 2nd week of June.

Under the Open Book System, students will be able to refer books, and other study materials to answer the questions in the online examination.

 GU has about 5,000 post -graduate students, whereas 350 schools beneath GU have over 2.5 lakh college students.
