Gaurav Gogoi recapitulates the Central Government to include Sankardeva’s teachings in the new NCRT

Guwahati: Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP recapitulate the inclusion of 15^th century Vaishnavite saint Mahapurush Sankardeva and three freedom fighters- Swahid Kushal Konwar, Kamala Miri and Chobilal Upadhyaya name in the new NCRT curriculum.

Earlier, Gogoi, through his letter, dated February 22, 2019 and December 8, 2015 appealed to the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, that the teachings of the Vaishnavite saint and about the three freedom fighters should be included in the new NCRT curriculum so, that the new generation could know about Sankardeva’s contribution to the society as well as about the three freedom fighters who sacrifice their life’s for the sake of their motherland.

Gogoi said, “In respect of these great figures I once again urge the concerned authority to include all of them in the new NCRT curriculum.”
