The initiative encourages students to actively participate in transforming their schools into environmentally friendly spaces by collecting household plastic waste for recycling…

Digital Desk: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) made a pivotal sustainability step by signing an MoU with Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) Assam and Akshar Foundation for launching the Swachh Schools Swachh Shehar campaign.

Under this initiative students receive motivation to help their schools achieve environmentally-conscious environments through their household plastic waste collection efforts for recycling purposes. Eco Warrior status will be earned by students through this program while they receive grades for their participation in protecting the environment.
The pet bowls together with flowerpots and key rings will be created from plastic waste collection at the Akshar Forum Workshop.
This joint initiative seeks to establish sustainable approaches in students through educational collaboration between parents and schools to build a cleaner city that trains young people to become leaders of environmental change.
