It has been established that the gold biscuits were being smuggled from Manipur to the national capital but were intercepted in Guwahati.

Digital Desk: The Government Railway Police (GRP) seized a large quantity of gold biscuits worth Rs. 3 crores from the Guwahati Railway Station on Wednesday. According to sources, the GRP successfully seized a large amount of gold biscuits from the Rajdhani Express during an operation at Paltan Bazar Railway Station.

The seized 20 gold biscuits weighed 3.20kg and are estimated to be worth Rs. 3 crores in the market.

Meanwhile, Sharif Alam was apprehended by police in connection with the seizure.

It has been established that the gold biscuits were being smuggled from Manipur to the national capital but were intercepted in Guwahati.

GRP seized a large amount of gold at Guwahati Railway Station yesterday.

In connection with the seizure, one person, Sampat Rao, was arrested.

At the railway station, 320 grams of gold were seized from a suspected smuggler.

According to sources, the individual was apprehended based on suspicion and specific information.

It was discovered that the gold was being smuggled from Agartala to the national capital but was intercepted in Guwahati.

The seized gold was estimated to be worth Rs 20 lakh.
