The Competition Commission of India (CCI) stated in a release that it has also been instructed to adjust its behaviour within a certain timeframe.

Digital Desk: The Competition Commission on Tuesday charged a penalty of Rs 936.44 crore on Google for abusing its dominant position with respect to Play Store policies and directed the company to cease and desist from unfair business practices.

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) stated in a release that it has also been instructed to adjust its behaviour within a certain timeframe.

This is Google's second significant CCI decision against it in less than a week. 

On October 20, the watchdog fined the corporation Rs. 1,337.76 crores for abusing its control of certain markets for Android mobile devices and ordered the internet giant to stop engaging in a number of unfair business practices.
