special. Yes! Today (June 6), Google is celebrating the birth anniversary of
Angelo Moriondo, the inventor of the espresso machine.

Moriondo, who was born on June 6, 1851, in Turin, Italy, came from a family of
entrepreneurs "who never ceased brewing new ideas or enterprises,"
according to a Google note on the amazing innovator. His father then ran the
liquor manufacturing business. Moriondo and his brother and cousin also founded
the well-known chocolate company, "Moriondo and Gariglio."
During the
inventor's lifetime, coffee was at its pinnacle of popularity in Italy. Coffee
drinkers, on the other hand, were inconvenienced since they had to wait a long
time for their coffee to brew.
"Coffee
was once the most popular beverage in nineteenth-century Italy. Due to brewing
procedures, customers had to wait more than five minutes for their drink.

mentioned that Moriondo's equipment, which alleviated coffee lovers' problems,
consisted of a big boiler that pumped hot water through a bed of coffee grinds,

complete the brew. After being registered in Paris on October 23, 1885, the
invention was verified by an international patent.
