Digital Desk: The Pixel Watch 2 will be unveiled on October 4 at the Made by Google event, alongside the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Previous leaks have highlighted certain major characteristics as well as colour options for the smartwatch.

According to a recent source, the next smart wearable device would provide major advancements, including features present on the Fitbit Sense 2. Along with safety enhancements, the watch is expected to include an internal thermometer.

The Pixel Watch 2, which is scheduled to successor the Pixel Watch, is said to include an enhanced electrodermal activity (EDA) sensor that measures and allows users to monitor their stress levels.

According to a 9 to 5 Google report, the forthcoming watch will include an upgraded sensor and will assist users in regulating their stress levels.

According to the source, the Pixel Watch 2, like the Fitbit Sense 2, will likely include an additional skin temperature sensor that will function as a thermometer and assist users in tracking their body temperature. The Fitbit Sense 2, on the other hand, simply detects skin temperature at night.

According to the report, the temperature sensor can not only be used to read thermometers but also to track a user's menstrual cycles. Notably, another story claims that the Pixel 8 Pro, which will be presented at the same event as the Pixel Watch 2, would include an inbuilt temperature sensor.

The Pixel Watch 2 could be available in Silver/White, Silver/Bay, Gold/Hazel, and Black/Obsidian. The smartwatch versions are expected to offer LTE and Wi-Fi variations. A Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 series chipset is expected to power it. The Snapdragon W5 or Snapdragon W5+ SoC may power the Pixel Watch 2.
